It was fantastic to come together to reflect on our journey over the last three months and celebrate all that we achieved.\u00a0 I would also like to congratulate all our Nightingale STAR winners<\/a>. It was great to see the diversity of our team reflected in our winners; with a broad a mix of professions, teams and levels. Although it really goes without saying, but you are all stars. I know the virtual experience for some colleagues viewing the ceremony via Zoom wasn\u2019t ideal \u2013 and I\u2019m sorry for that. We have however pulled together a transcript of the ceremony, including Judith\u2019s amazing poem, which can be read on the Staff Hub here<\/a>. We are also looking at how we make all the images of the site and team shots available for you to keep. We will be sharing more information on this in our next newsletter. In the meantime, there is information on how you access your own individual\/team shots below.<\/p>\n

Most colleagues will now have completed their last day on site \u2013 except a handful of people who just wrapping up, or those who are supporting with looking after the site. The hospital will now remain on Standby until further notice. Going forward, national and regional colleagues will continue to monitor the pandemic, as well as how the North West health system is able to manage demand. Colleagues are also continuing to finalise our reactivation plans should we be required to reopen. Your input into the debriefing sessions and responses to Staff Pulse Survey will support this work so we can further improve should we be called upon to reactivate. In the meantime, we will continue to keep all members of Team Nightingale updated via this newsletter. It will be issued on a less frequent basis during Standby but please do make sure to look out for the email. You will also continue to be able to access the Staff Hub<\/a> during the Standby period and we will be running a Staff Pulse Survey to see how you are doing \u2013 so please keep an eye out for that too.<\/p>\n

I would like to finish this update with a thank you. Thank you for stepping forward, for helping us to create a fantastic hospital, for caring for our patients and helping prepare us for Standby, should our NHS need us again. This Sunday marks the 72nd<\/sup> birthday of the NHS and has been chosen as the day for the final clap for carers. I\u2019ll be on my doorstep clapping \u2013 thinking about our team and the patients we cared for. I hope you will join me in doing the same wherever you are.<\/p>\n
