Message from our Chief Executive

I hope you are keeping well and those of you in Greater Manchester or other affected parts of the North West are adapting to the increased lockdown measures. It continues to be a challenging time for us all and it is important to take the time to look after yourself. Please do visit the Staff Hub to find out more about our wellbeing support – which is available throughout the Standby period. I also hope many of you have been able to enjoy some much-deserved time away from work or have annual leave coming up.

Thank you to those colleagues who joined us for Team Brief last Monday. You can see a full copy of slides presented here. The next Team Brief will take place on Monday 7 September (more information, including the Microsoft Teams link, below). We will continue to organise these sessions while we remain in Standby and will regularly review their frequency. However, at the moment once a month seems about right. We welcome your feedback on this – and also the content of this newsletter. Please drop an email to [email protected] with your thoughts and suggestions.

I’m excited that I am now able to share with you our Nightingale virtual scrapbook ? We’ve pulled together some of our favourite photos, along with key milestones and facts and figures to tell the story of our Nightingale journey through a virtual scrapbook. We know all of our experiences were different, but hope it helps capture lots of your memories from your time working at the hospital.

Click here to download your copy of the Nightingale Scrapbook as a memento of your time at the hospital. We hope you enjoy reading through it – and would love to hear what you think.

Until next time,

Best wishes,

Professor Michael McCourt
Chief Executive
